A man has been arrested for the murder of his girlfriend, whose body was found in the backyard of a Compton home. Authorities responded to a domestic dispute call in the 400 block of Pannes Avenue at 8:53 p.m. Monday. When officers arrived, they learned that a body may be buried in the backyard. A young woman's body was discovered underneath a mound of freshly dug dirt in the backyard of the house. Her name has not yet been released. It's unclear how long the body was in the backyard. Police say the suspect, identified as 22 year-old Devion Anderson, surrendered at the Compton Sheriff's Station at about 3 a.m. Tuesday.
